Jayde is smart and ambitious yet scared of most people. She is a bit sneaky and sly, always having a fear of getting in trouble for the most simplest things. She actually can be caring and sweet but it takes a lot of work to get on that good side. Her temper is like a firecracker that no one wants to be at the bad end of. If your a male she will come off emotionless due to her fear of people. To the women she can come off as a prude, you talk about something dirty she will wrinkle up her nose and look shocked for even saying something like that. In short, she is a bitch to keep people a distance away.

Jayde's father always picked at everything she did, finding her to be nothing he ever wanted her to be. Her mother was always proud of her and tried to keep Jayde happy with her life until her mother got ill. Her father did not allow her mother to see a doctor so her mother died when she was thirteen. It left her to take care of Zakia until it was her turn to choose to stay or go. As for her relationship with Alyce, it in nonexistent, Alyce died a week before Jayde died for being a Divergent.
